Today, I’m joined by my dear friend Monica Huber to talk about the Mission of Motherhood in the context of Acts…and we are talking about Mary, Mother of Jesus and her surprising absence from the pages of the early church’s history! We talk about legends, “traditions”, paintings, and stories that involve Mary, and we ultimate grapple with the concept of hiddenness in motherhood. Mary did mission in the unseen, unrecorded ways to serve the early Church.
Monica is the wife of a a full time missionary at Damascus. She lives a unique life on mission in that she’s adjacent to the active apostolate going on, but not always directly involved. We talk about how mission in motherhood can look so humble, hidden, but significant. We talk about common lies that mothers face in their transition into children, and how Mary shows us the way!
