Welcome to Episode 2 of the miniseries on Saints Jane de Chantal and Francis de Sales! Francis de Sales is known as the “Gentleman Saint”, the Doctor of the Church who wrote and taught extensively about God’s gentle and tender love. He spiritually directed Jane de Chantal from being a perfectionist to being a gentle woman, and in today’s episode, I interview my friend Mary about the gentleness of God. We explore a few places in Scripture & talk about how to remember God’s gentleness. Though we don’t share specifics about Jane’s story in this episode, we both agreed that Saint Francis de Sales would have been happy to pull up a chair at our conversation and share so much more about this topic: he, like Jesus, was gentle and humble of heart !( Matthew 11:28)
